Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
Current California License
ABPTS-PCS is preferred.
Current BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross for Healthcare Providers

Responsibilities:
Job Summary
Under a physician’s prescription, a Staff Physical Therapist provides and supervises physical therapy services to persons of all ages in various stages of rehabilitation, utilizing tests and measurements, techniques of exercise, and properties of heat, light, sound, electricity, water and massage.
Duties
Provide one-on-one treatment to children birth to 18 years of age with a variety of developmental, gross motor, movement, and orthopedic disorders and provide necessary support and education to their families and caregivers.
Perform assessments and develop a plan of care with goals adjusted according to the patient's progress.
Document patient progress in the electronic medical record
Maintain and professional and caring approach to patients and their families.
Maintains a safe and clean environment for peers and patients
Performs other duties as assigned

Lifting Requirements:
Work area is well lighted and ventilated. Contact with patients in a wide variety of circumstances. Exposed to noise, chemicals, communicable diseases, and hazardous materials. Wears personal protective equipment as required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, or controls; each with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk or stand for extended periods, occasionally required to sit, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with help.
Day shift - M-F - 6 weekend days per year
