Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic CT Technologist to cover both X-ray and CT at Ogden Regional Hospital’s Free Standing Emergency Department located in Syracuse City Pleasantview and our Main Facility.

In our department, you will work independently in radiology providing imaging services to outpatients and ER patients, alongside the friendly ER staff. The equipment on site is a CT GE Revolution EVO and X-ray GE Optima XR646/XR220. You will be an integral part of the ER team assisting with patient care when needed.

• You will administer both oral and IV contrast; evaluate patients for any allergic reactions; place correct IV for the exam being performed.
• You will be loading and operating MedRad power injector.
• You will operate and understand CT and X-Ray equipment; practice ALARA standards; understand physician protocols and scan appropriately.
• You will be maintaining a clean work environment and stock the department with supplies and linens.
• You will be moving, lifting, and assisting patients onto and off the scanner table.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Computerized Tomography Technician must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
• State Registered Radiologic Technician
• Associate Degree
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
